iOS 6.1 causing problems with Exchange 2010 – Again!

It appears that Apple’s latest iOS 6.1 is STILL causing headaches for Exchange 2010 administrators.

Apple devices running the 6.1 version of the software can cause excessive CPU utilization and excessive database transaction log growth when responding to certain types of meeting requests.

iOS 6.1 was released in response to another calendar-related bug that resulted in appointment ‘hijacking’.

Microsoft has released a knowledge base article on the issue and Apple has responded with a work-around until a new patch can be released.  Hopefully this patch will be fully tested this time.

Sadly, the Apple fans will still blame this one on Microsoft even though it’s Apple’s fault.

UPDATE: Apple has released a new patch.  iOS 6.1.2
